“When I joined the track team in the Spring of 2016, both Coach A and Coach K took me under their wings. Coach A took care of what needed to be done on the track and Coach K took care of what needed to be done with the throwers and weight room. Both of these coaches introduced me to what I needed to push myself to the next level with my sprints. These two coaches individually taught me so much about the art of Track and Field that I will remember forever.”

“Coach A has always pushed me to work hard and believe in myself as an athlete. From gifting me my first pair of track spikes to seeing my potential as a leader, Coach A has greatly helped shape me into the athlete I am today. The training Coach A uses is tailored to improve the specific skills necessary as a track athlete, through work on form, speed, and endurance. And also taking the time to understand the importance of stretching, warm-ups, recovery, and cool-down. How you train is just as important as how hard you train, and Coach A has helped show me the importance of rest and listening to your body in order to help reach your best potential. Anyone who has the chance to work with Coach A and train will be in great hands.”

“Coach A was not only a great coach but a great mentor. On the track, he wanted us to be our very best and asked us what goals we would like to set for ourselves. He would push us every step of the way and help us train better in plus who doesn’t love a coach that runs WITH you. He shared the importance of being an all-around athlete on and off the track which is why I was able to secure a scholarship at NJIT, a top polytechnic university. The dedication he put into me aided in my collegiate track and field career and taught me very valuable life lessons I still use today.”

“To acknowledge Coach A as only a good coach is an understatement. Yes, he is a great coach but he is much more than that.  He has been an important life mentor for me. Whenever I need life advice of any sort I can always count on him to be there and that’s what makes Coach A so special. He genuinely cares about the well-being of each and every one of his athletes. If you take the opportunity to work with Coach A I have no doubt that you will not only grow as an athlete but as a person as well! I have also been lucky enough to have Coach K as my strengthening coach during high school. Coach K will take the time to formulate workouts that work best for you. He has a personality that makes practice enjoyable. Coach A and Coach K are both very passionate about Track and Field. They will put in the effort to help you conquer your goals, all you need to do is sign up and be ready to put the work in!”

Steven Payne (2017)

Payne contniued his track career at Eastern University

“When I came to Woodbridge high school in 2016-2017 of my junior year, Coach A welcomed me with open arms. Me being skeptical at first on how I would do at a new high school, Coach A was able to bring the best out of me every single day and my races each week can support that. My short time with Coach A I was able to complete my goal of running at New Balance Nationals, being one the very few respected athletes in New Jersey, and polished me into being ready for college.”
